Tennis
LAs a young boy living at the homeless, I woke up every morning and went to class. Regardless of how well I did in class, I always had that thought that my good won’t take me anywhere. After all, I had all A’s and my mental state of who I am and where I was still the same. Then I started playing tennis. Playing tennis and competing gave me a different approach. From being a homeless child to a tennis player. With some success coming on the tennis, all certain confidence and my thought from a homeless kid to a tennis champion. The game of tennis changed my outlook about my life and we have a tennis program at Kimera hoping the same for our kids. And yes, the children have embraced the game of tennis and their confidence has shot through the roof. Currently we have the top 5 players in the girls 12 and under in the East African region. Not sure where all these stories will end, but the impact tennis has made has been unbelievable in my life and now for our children.
